Who is Burak Ersoz?
Born in Ankara and now based in London, Burak Ersöz is a dynamic live and studio drummer known for his groove, versatility, and cultural fusion of Anatolian and Western influences. A self-taught musician, he quickly rose to prominence as one of Turkey’s leading drummers, collaborating with renowned artists such as Zerrin Özer, Özlem Tekin, Hande Yener, Ayhan SicimoÄŸlu & Latin All Stars, Özge Fışkın, Niyazi Koyuncu, Hüseyin Turan, Sibel Tüzün, Haluk Levent, Fatma Turgut, Soul Stuff, Gökcan Sanlıman, Gökhan DemirdöÄŸmez Project, Burhan Öçal, Giants Of Anatolia, Anatolian Fusion Ensemble, Leman Sam, Aslı GökyokuÅŸ, Eltel to name a few. Burak has performed at major festivals and venues including Glastonbury Festival, EFG London Jazz Festival, Jazz Cafe, Istanbul International Jazz Festival, Akbank Jazz Festival, Masstival, Milyon Fest, Efes One Love Festival, International Izmir Jazz Festival, Passaparola Tv Show, Avrupa Yakası, Yalan Dünya to name a few and countless venues in Turkey, London and around the world. His career also includes appearances on popular Turkish TV shows such as Avrupa Yakası and Yalan Dünya.
Guided by his passion for rhythm’s power to connect and inspire, Burak continues to expand his musical journey in London — blending rich cultural narratives with a deep sense of groove and improvisation.
